I chose Beaufort as my home after being stationed up the road in Charleston. Being an avid fisherman, my goal was to be on the water somewhere. What Beaufort offered that other waterfront locations did not, was an ideal lifestyle of how my family and I wanted to live. We enjoy the Southern hospitality and relaxed atmosphere that is apparent in the Lowcountry. Neighboring Bluffton, SC calls it a "State of Mind". Bluffton may have coined the phrase, but I'm a firm believer that the feeling extends up here!
